This is the best video card deal I've seen in almost a year. Basically a re-badged 7950 boost. Lowest AR prices on 7950 with games was in august last year..... slightly cheaper around $175.-

There are a couple other sites that use FCAT and high speed video to test. My interpretation is that some progress has been made but there is still some perceptible stutter for critical users.

been using 2x 290x in crossfire and haven't noticed anything grossly terrible

i'm thinking XDMA isn't built into the 7950 even if it's in the R9 280, unfortunately.
