I can't believe I was awake for this deal! Ordered two! Thanks jlin!

I figured I would argue with myself later if I really need SLI for 1080p (probably not) but I didn't want to wait and miss such a killer deal.

Here's to hoping it's not a price mistake!

Backordered but says that it can still be ordered; however, when you add it to the wish list the price becomes $574.16. Probably dead deal.

A deal this hot doesn't usually last very long--may be too good to be true. Keeping my fingers crossed.

price has been fixed, there's nothing to pricematch. And I doubt they'd PM a OOS product.

Is this deal due to the overvolting issue? Are retailers dumping them because of that?

what overvolting issue are you referring to? Are you talking about nvidia hard-locking the max voltage? According to online articles, Afterburner 2.2.3 is able to bypass that. I haven't seen any retailer "dumping" the card, either; the next lowest price I can find online is $549 AR at Superbiiz. I do think MSI set the MSRP much too high compared to other versions', such as ASUS's DCII Top.

No... MSI "altering" the VRM circuit design to overvolt it by about 200% out of spec to seriously unsafe levels causing POST and GPU lockups.

Anyway, it looks to me like this was a price mistake, since the website is showing the original price ($500+) in a couple places now. I'd expect those orders to get cancelled.

It's not a pricing mistake. NCIX has verified the price and processed my order.

Congrats to those who got it. This is seriously the hottest video card deal in recent memory.

ncix does this A LOT. they have 'limited supply' at that price. oh but they'll be happy to sell you one at the regular price after you find out that you cant buy it at that price.

most vendors use the same tactic, to different degrees, to generate traffic. For example, NE offers discount codes "while funds last." As long as the vendor honors the price for buyers who got in in time, it's not dishonest. One can't expect them to have an unlimited supply at such a big discount. Tha't why we all come here--to find hot deals and jump on them ASAP.

This was certainly a hot deal, but NCIX is definitely a shady site. I know they're big in Canada, but their sales practices leave much to be desired. Newegg may have a sale for a limited time, which often means 24-48 hours. NCIX's "sales" typically last a few minutes. I've stopped linking to their site in my hot deals threads.

I'll be curious if everyone who ordered one actually receives it - that will at least give us all some reason to shop NCIX if only for whatever their latest flash sale is.

You may be right--I do most of my shopping at Newegg and Tigerdirect, and only occasionally at NCIX when I happened upon a great deal. It's true that a good deal doesn't last very long at NCIX, but my past experience is that once the order goes through the various stages of price/shipping info/credit card verification and order processing, it's pretty much a done deal; otherwise, what's the point of price verification?! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. This was literally an "early bird gets the worm" deal--I got called to the hospital at 2 a.m. for an emergency and was waiting for the rest of the O.R. crew to show up. There are still a few in stock, but the price has gone up to $550 before rebate, so the sizzle has fizzled, although it's still a good $50-60 lower than Newegg or TD.

Something very weird happened. I just clicked the link for the first time and then the page opened up to the $299.99 price then quickly flashed to $559.
