[Out of Stock]

HIS iPower IceQ X² OC Radeon R9 290 DirectX 11.2 H290QMC4GD 4GB 512-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Video Card

$229.99
- VCOBF15 $25 off $200 Visa Checkout
= $205

OR you could use $25 off $200 AMEX Newegg Promotion"]$25 off $200 with AMEX.

*** Combining the AMEX $25 into Visa Checkout $25 (add your American express card to Visa checkout) reduces the price to $179.99 because your AMEX purchase will still be above $200 ($229.99 - $25 VISA Checkout coupon = $204.99). It may take up to 90-days after purchase for this $25 credit to be reflected on your AMEX.

An after-market 290 ~ reference 290X.

Price/performance beats nearly every gaming GPU under $250.

Solid performance for Star Citizen and DX12 against any other card in the sub-$250 space.

Temperatures and noise levels
"Moving on to the temperatures that the card produced under their venerable “iCooler”, we see the warmest temperature reached was 76 °C. While that seems a bit warm, what needs to be told here is I left the BIOS switch in its default/quiet mode. When the card maxed out at 76 °C, the fan ramped up to a darn near silent 44%. I could not hear them over a few Yate Loons at 1K RPM, that is for sure. So for being dead silent, it kept things pretty cool and there was no throttling of clockspeeds even in this mode. Well done HIS!"
Review

Card's length is 29.7 cm or 11.7 inches

That is a really good price. Should we be weary of the 3/5 star reviews tho? Otherwise this would be a no brainer vs a 960/380x.

I bet most of the issues with those bad reviews are related to AMD's 2D voltage profiles.

Since the HIS card has no gift (no game, etc.), it's possible to stack $25 AMEX and $25 VISA Checkout making it $179.99.

Wow, no-brainer. Thanks, RS!

It actually gets even better when combining the AMEX deal with the Visa. I updated the thread to reflect that. Visa discount nets $204.99 which is enough to clear the $200 AMEX limit and trigger the $25 off $200 AMEX credit once checking out with VISA and using your AMEX credit card from the VISA Checkout credit card selection. Should work! ;)

How about 2 relatively new EVGA GTX 760 SC 2GB @ 1214/7800 + 2 BFG 512MB GeForce 7950GTs for your 1 X290 4GB?

I doubt you'd go for it but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Bump for a great price on a still great GPU!

Are you asking me because I don't own an R9 290. With your GTX760s and 7950s, you should be able to sell all of those cards and get almost enough $ for a GTX780Ti, GTX970 or an R9 390. Check EVGA B-stock deals too as they often have $200 780Ti or $240 970 if you can't quite stretch it for a new $270-280 390/970.
