This came up before Christmas and only lasted a day or two. I'll say now what I said then-the Squeezebox is the best money I have spent on any audio equipment in forty years of buying the stuff. I've had mine for a couple of years and it is the cornerstone of our audio system. I've ripped all my CDs to FLAC (lossless) files and they are now in storage, except for the occassional use in the car.

Highly reccommended, feel free to contact me for any info.

Hmm... how would a setup like this compare to iTunes + airport express? I'm buying the airport expresses for about $50 shipped and controlling them via itunes remote on my iPhone..

The logitech website really doesn't give a concise explanation of what these do.. Stream music, yeah, but how does it integrate with my itunes library?

Squeezebox Classic can access network shares (my iTunes library is on a WHS server and it works fine).

This device is known for it's high quality audio, in particular it's digital outputs, in both stock and modified forms.

$179 is a very good price, $153 is amazingly low for this device (someone on another forums said they sell for $190 used on eBay).

I got mine the last time there was a deal like this. I agree with Thump533 - one of the best purchases I've made. I'm now down from 4 XM subscriptions to just the one in my car so, for me, it paid for itself pretty fast.
