If you feel the need for additional performance and do not have an SLI motherboard, then yes this will be a nice upgrade.

Alternately you can either sell off your old card to offset some of the cost of the new card, or if your board has a second PCIe slot that can accomodate the old card, keep it for PhysX.

Do you have to wait until you receive the card before you can register the product for the bundle?

I believe so, because when you register you have to provide the S/N of the card.

$233.73 shipped / $213.73 AR. I just hope I can place my registration in time to get the bundle before they run out of them.

It will be upgrading my Powercolor 3850 256MB card. Quite an upgrade and I can probably sell my 3850 to someone at work for $50 - $80 bucks and offset the cost even more.

I was holding out for an XFX card just for the double lifetime warranty, and I do not even care about Far Cry 2, but I did want to go with an SLI 260 setup, so this deal has me thinking. Only downside is my current 600w PSU is not going to cut it for SLI, so I'd have to add $120+ to the price to pick up either a BFG 800 or a PCP&C 750 to even run in SLI.

So........... Now, how do I get a "CHEAP" decent MOBO, RAM and CPU to go with this????

e7200 $120
e8400 $150
q6600 $180

cheap p35 $70

DDR2 2gb or 4gb $30 or $60

Aftermarket cooler: $40

and thats the regular prices, I got mine for:

E7200 $86.00

Abit IP35-E Open box $63.00

ddr2 800mhz pc6400 2 x 2gb corsair $20.00

so about half the person that said $300.00

You mean this BFG PSU? $100 AR doesn't look too bad.

Amber, you read my mind. I just can't see blowing $500 on the setup I have in mind without waiting to see what Nv and ATI come out with in the next month. I initially was waiting for a 4870 1gb (or maybe even an X2) but since I have a 750i SLI board, I feel much more comfortable going with an Nvidia card to possibly eliminate any weirdness. I cannot do Crossfire, so I might as well go SLI. Running a 24" @ 1920x1200 and looking forward to Left 4 Dead.

That is a great deal on that PSU, which should deserve its own thread as gamers start to consider a second 260 card for their rigs. I don't know how BFG is with their rebates tho ... regardless, we can bother Zap and JG to go check on their status
😉

Aww piss and vinegar !! There goes my BFG upgrade plan. Damn the luck .. guess I am forced to wait til another deal comes along.

Ordered card and registered today. Got confirmation that bundle is on its way in 2-3 weeks. Will update. So it appears they have quantity as of today, 11/3.

Will update when I receive the goodies. Not sure why they couldnt just email the 3dmark download code but whatever.
