Went looking for some 16GB DDR3-1600 kits for system builds. All of the prices are now $74.99 and up for brand-name RAM kits. However, this particular one had a qty discount.

$54.59 ea. kit, for QTY 2.

$52.99 ea. kit, for QTY 10+.

I've been using two 8GB kits of Avexir DDR4-2400 (with blue LEDs) in my two OCed Skylake G4400 rigs, on ASRock Z170 Pro4S boards, since around Oct. 2015, and not a problem. They overclocked to DDR4-2520 just fine.

Though, I haven't used their DDR3 RAM.

You gotta take some of those Newegg reviews where they say the RAM died, with a grain of salt. Who knows what quality PSU they're using with their rig? It could be a cheap under $20 PSU with heavy ripple and poor voltage regulation. Which could conceivably kill RAM, which wouldn't necessarily be the fault of the RAM in question. Just something to think about.

And I thought that I had seen some official reply to reviews on Newegg about Avexir RAM, and the reply was from "HIS", which used to be an AMD video card vendor, primarily. So, if Avexir is associated with HIS, they've been around for a while.
