I still haven't ordered one of the Antec items from Fry's this week. Must resist this one too. I actually don't like the looks of the Sonata III because of the chrome look on the front. The power supply almost makes up for that though! ;) I just hope they don't get black P180's or P182's back for the $44.99 range or I might get weak....:p

Yeah the PSU is the only reason I'm considering this. If the front panel were solid and just had holes for the cdroms, it would be much more appealing. Swing out front panels always snap off.

Well, I've got two brand new (in the box) Cooler Master cases, one Cooler Master Power supply (not the good one) and a Seasonic S12+ 550 power supply already. I don't need this...I don't need this...I don't need this. I'm just glad that I don't have the proposed $1,600 tax break check from the government already. I would be stimulating the economy....on case at a time! :D

And I've considered cutting out holes for the drives in the front panel (although it may be tough depending on the default mounting. lol

hd trays are not tool less-hard drives must be screwed into the hard drive trays, same with the dvd drives. i really prefer cases that use brackets to snap hd's and dvd drives in and out, even dell does this. otherwise, nice case.. ps awesome for the price.

It's a freaking computer case guys, stop freaking about a little chrome bezel.

Case is well worth $75 and is a steal at $50 w/free shipping. These will sell out fast. Get one while you can.

Actually, it ain't the chrome bezel for me, but the swing out door which will undoubtedly snap off within 1 week.

Not yet, still waiting. IRC, fry's sometimes has a pretty good delay with confirmation.

Also, the front door can be removed if it bothers you. not quite as clean looking, but not terrible either.

I realize this is an excellent deal, but this isn't the case for mild overclocking, is it?
Anyone think the P182 will go back on sale?

The included Eathwatts 500W PSU should be fine for mid overclocking. The case comes with only 1 Antec 120mm rear tri-cool fan but has room for a 120mm front fan, and has a slideout front dust filter. No provisions provided to install a side or top fan though.

Doubtful they'll have another sale at Fry's. Some other places might clear out old stock, but I wouldn't expect $45 AR with free shipping again.

I missed the P182 but got the P180. I have a cubbyhole with a door for my system anyway so it could be hot pink for all I care.

That PSU is nice though...

It's my money and I can freak out over it if I don't like it, thank you very little.

Your choice of course, didn't mean to offend.

One suggestion to those that don't like the chrome, a scotchbrite pad works great to scuff down shinny surfaces. Rub in one direction being careful to not cut through the surface finish. You will wind up with a satin finish surface that looks more like brushed aluminum than bright chrome. Haven't tried this on a Sonata mind you but have done it lots of times on various parts.

Good luck.
