Courtesy of TechB@rg@ins, check this HP laptop dealio.

linky

Athlon 1.1, 512MB, 30GB, 15" active XGA @1400x1050, 8x DVD/CDRW, 56K, 10/100, XP home, more. 90 days warr.

Did I mention loaded?

Did I mention REFURB?

Pretty nice piece, IMHO. I'll take one.

Damn...looking for a lappy, was pretty well sold on the $899 Gateway. This would add more memory (512 vs 256), 15" screen instead of 14.1", it's an Athlon 1.1 vs a Celly 900...30GB HDD vs 10GB...adds a burner, but I don't really care about that...and a Lithium Ion battery. On the other hand, it's a refurb. Decisions, decisions...

very nice, except i can't deal with the 1400 resolution. i like the 1024 on my 15" laptop screen, it's just is easier on the eyes...

How is a lower resolution easier on the eyes? You can adjust windows properties to adjust for bigger sizes with everything. Sure, it takes about 10-15 minutes to get it done right, but once it's done you don't touch it ever again. A higher screen dpi is definitely worth the extra money.
