Everytime i boot into windows i get this error message that pops up in the lower right corner in my system tray area and it says one of my CD-R software's drivers was disabled because it doesnt' work in windows XP or something... I click on the error message and it tells me to update my drivers... well the software it says to update is my Adaptec EZ CD creator but when I go to the link it gives me, Roxio wants me to pay for a new %#@%#@ version of easy cd creator!! no way in hell i'm doing that just for a new OS, so i tried uninstalling it but the error message still pops up every time i boot up! grrrrrrrr these XP error messages are pissing me off!!$$!@$! thanks for any help

Ok so i checked out roxio's website and it has this to say:

Q: I have Windows XP installed on my computer and want to install my Easy CD Creator 4.x, what will happen?
A: You should not attempt to install Easy CD Creator 4.x in Windows XP. When you have a full version of Windows XP or have upgraded to Windows XP and try to install an Easy CD Creator 4.x on your system you will receive an error telling you that some drivers are not supported under XP and to contact Roxio for an updated and supported version. This is not supported and you will still need to take advantage of Roxio's upgrade options by clicking here.

Now by upgrade options, they mean buy their product for $99 bucks or ur screwed!%#%*&%#)!&
Atleast.. doesn't anyone know how to disable the error message from popping up from the system tray?

1. Open control panel
2. Click on performance and maintenance (need to be in catagory view)
3.Click on system
4. Click on advanced tab
5. Click on error reporting
6. Select disable error reporting
7. click ok-ok
