Ok, i figured i'd ask here, i tried asking SBC if it'd be possible to install DSL in my apt without having a home phone (i have a line installed already of course, i just don't have it active as i just use my cell phone)

Has anyone found a workaround? Is there any chance or am i stuck paying $45 for cable?

If the DSL & phone work on a separate line, i don't see why it'd be necessary!!! :-D
 
There was just a thread yesterday regarding this exact same subject. Yes it is possible but it depends on the company. They work on the same line, but voice and data are seperated
