Hello,

I just installed Win2000 on a clean system and it works perfectly, except for one thing: APM crashes. When I shut down the computer crashes and reboots just as it is about to turn the power off (something about ntoskrnl.exe). The computer also freezes when the monitor goes to sleep with the screensaver. It all worked fine under Win98, but with Win2000 it crashes and burns. I can turn off APM, but then the computer won't turn off when I shut down. I looked @ MS's tech support, but it was pretty useless. I've installed Win2K twice and it still does it both time, with SP-1 and w/out.

I posted at a few other forums a few days ago, but no one could help me. Does anyone here know how to fix this?

Thanks!!
Owen
