I can view the topics just fine but when I click on the thread think and try to the view content this is the error I get
"Ooops! You encountered an error, we have let the webmaster know about the problem."
I've tried several threads in several categories all to the same effects.

It's possible you guys are just going through a quick updtate but regarldess I thought I'd bring the problem to your attention.

Cheers:cool:

It's probably just a few bugs in the system that need to be worked out.

Man their taking their time sorting it out! ,I think this problem's been around for about 6mths?

Funny thing I've noticed is that the problem is worse with slightly older threads:confused:

Btw what's that answer box about at the top of this thread? ,their is no answer yet ,at least not in here.

I get the message for approx 25% of the threads I read. The weird thing is sometimes I can read the last page no problem but can't get the first page to load

Nope, I don't know why but some posters mark their question as the answer

call your IP and check to see if they have alternate DNS server addy's, and load them into TCP/IP properties
and use Firefox

lol ,chances are with NTL that if I ask that I'll probably just get a 'huh?'

Why should that make any difference though? as I can access the forum index no probs.
I don't have Firefox installed atm ,will do that at some point.

Another vote for "This error is seriously getting on my tits".

I've had it about 20 times today.

Another one who's had this problem for months now.

Extremely irritating, to the point where I can't face visiting these forums anymore!

Again, an NTL user from the UK.

Had about 10 of the errors just trying to open this thread again. Stupidly I could read any other thread I wanted, it just refused to load this one. I go away for 30 mins, come back and it loads first time

I don't get it on most short threads, but I do every time I try to open the PS3 thread in OT.

Agreed - it seems to be based on the size of the thread.

I have my settings at max which may make a difference.

I'm viewing at 40 topics and messages per page but even this thread barfs. In fact, this is one of the worst*. Took me 3 attempts to view it this time. Sweeeet.

* I think the servers took a look at the topic title and are royally taking teh p1ss.

I had it happen to me yesterday and that's the only time it's ever happened. I was a bit scared because I see that error on DailyTech constantly to the point where it takes 5 minutes to preview a comment (and spam the Webmaster's mailbox ;)). Although I was a bit relieved to only see it once.

Usually an error like that would come from a database command returning an error (as you can customize error returns fairly easily in web interpreted languages). I don't see how your location would affect this unless it has some unknown bearing.
