I need to disable the right-click and the shift-F10 fuction. How the heck do you do it in XP? I've looked through Group Policy and can't find it anywhere. :(

If you can answer this question, I will dub thee, MASTER OF WINDOWS XP!

Try this Here, not sure if it is exactly what you are looking for. Never had the need to disable right click.

Let us know if that is what you need.

Yeah, unfortunately I've already tried that and it only disables the right click when you are trying to right click on the Programs menu. You can right click all the live long day anywhere else though. :|

Ok mechBgon, that's pretty good. It disables the right click and shift+F10 for the desktop (icons included), but I can still right click on the taskbar. You were REALLY close, and I can definitely use that solution, so I'll crown you KING OF WINDOWS XP. ;)

Now if anyone can find that last piece (disable the right click on the taskbar), I'll be all set.

Thanks guys!

Ok, unless they're WinXP Homeboy Edition, you can go Start > Run > gpedit.msc and then go here:

Lots of good stuff in there :D

I now dub you MASTER OF WINDOWS XP!

Thanks man. I was looking in that spot in group policies and didn't see that. I was looking for right click, not context menus though. :| Also, on my version of XP Pro, it shows "Remove access to the context menus for the taskbar." Once I enbled it, no more right clicky though. :)

Thanks again man!

Yeah dude, that comes in REAL handy when you don't have a mouse hooked up to your PC. ;)
