I don't know if this idea has been posted before, but what about a small table column right beside the originators column in the main messages areas. That has a symbol or even just two letters to represent the memebers status?

Like
JM=Junior memeber
M=Member
SM=Senior Member
EM=Elite

that would be nice. I think that there should be a time requirement besides a # of posting requirement to advance in membership status. I am now callled a senior member & I have only been active here for 3-4 months. You'd think you should be around for a year or two to gain the 'senior' status. I was supprised that my 'junior' status was changed in less than a week.

or at the very least a time minimum to reach senior status wouldn't you think?

Yeah like
Junior => Memeber == # of post
Member => Senior Member == # of post +time on board
Senior => Elite == Divine intervention 🙂

--edit--
plus this would cut down on junk posters and people switching handles ect ect. I think this could be done easily to with a simple check. When # post = blah and time >=blah then status = blah
