Paul

A Western Union money transfer would be the best option for me; you can send the $9000 to Joshua Lee for pickup in the state of Florida, and I will mail your shipping company a United States postal money order for the balance.

When the transfer has been sent, email me the confirmation number and I will receive the funds and send the balance to the shipping company. I will also need the contact information for the shipping company, and information from you so they know which of their clients I am working with.

Thank you,
-josh

The address isn't required for Western Union transfers. Upon receipt of the funds, I will deliver the car to your shipping company's contact, if they are within 100 miles of Gainesville.

Thanks,
-josh

It's gonna be a forged check. As in, it'll bounce. He sent you form letters that he just had to punch some info into, and he did a piss poor job at it. Give him the address for the White House or something.

Request a phone number so you can talk to him over the phone... after it's verified, mail the check to his local police department with a letter saying it's attempted fraud and them the guy's # (and address if you can get it).

Too bad it would be so expensive, or I could send him a C-C-C-C-Corolla! My sister has an '86 Volvo 240 that she doesn't want anymore (it's beat)..a friend and I will probably wreck it somewhere..wish there was a way to drop it off in his yard :D

Because he has a poor handle of the English langauge? Wouldn't it be funny if he said "I will take the last price offered and double it," Only then could he have been more obvious.

And jeez, these guys are getting greety, $9k check for a $4500 car is going to scare off everybody. $5500 check...maybe you'll have some takers.

Since I can receive western union transfers at work, I'll ask for a $9000 western union money transfer, and I'll mail a money order back to cover the difference. We'll see how that works. ;)

why don't you do this. tell him no worries, you'll ship the car and then he can send you the check cause you think he sounds like a good guy. and ask for his address and contact phone number (say you have to verify the phone number for the shipping company).

once you get that, you're golden, post it here, let ATOT take care of the rest ;)

Ask him if he would like you to get the blood stains and brain matter out of the car for him, since he is being so generous.

LAZER!!!

Good call on the WU. Let him get ripped off, if he sends you WU you can easily take it out and scam the guy.

How does WU work anyways? He pays WU and tells the people the name of the guy in the state, and that's it? How do they ID verify?

For $9k, I'll need a SSN, DL, etc to receive it. I receive WUs at work, so it's not a problem to receive. However, it requires cash up front on his end (or possibly a CC), so it's not going to happen..would be nice, though :p

I'm not sure if he's in the US or not..but if he is, he'll need an ID (DL and SSN, I think) to send it...he sends to my name in my city, and I provide ID to pick it up.
