The address isn't required for Western Union transfers. Upon receipt of the funds, I will deliver the car to your shipping company's contact, if they are within 100 miles of Gainesville.

It's gonna be a forged check. As in, it'll bounce. He sent you form letters that he just had to punch some info into, and he did a piss poor job at it. Give him the address for the White House or something.

Request a phone number so you can talk to him over the phone... after it's verified, mail the check to his local police department with a letter saying it's attempted fraud and them the guy's # (and address if you can get it).

Since I can receive western union transfers at work, I'll ask for a $9000 western union money transfer, and I'll mail a money order back to cover the difference. We'll see how that works.

why don't you do this. tell him no worries, you'll ship the car and then he can send you the check cause you think he sounds like a good guy. and ask for his address and contact phone number (say you have to verify the phone number for the shipping company).

once you get that, you're golden, post it here, let ATOT take care of the rest

For $9k, I'll need a SSN, DL, etc to receive it. I receive WUs at work, so it's not a problem to receive. However, it requires cash up front on his end (or possibly a CC), so it's not going to happen..would be nice, though

I'm not sure if he's in the US or not..but if he is, he'll need an ID (DL and SSN, I think) to send it...he sends to my name in my city, and I provide ID to pick it up.
