Is there an Onvia Coupon for people in the US? The one on Techbargains is only for canada.

Has anyone not managed to get their Celery II 633 up to the 100MHz FSB w/ the retail HS/Fan? I wanna get a idea of the probability that I can get mine up to 950MHz w/o buying another GoldenOrb Fan. The retail fan on these new celerons are Huge, hopefully when I have the chance to put it together I won't have to go out and buy another freaking fan.

I also gonna put it in my Tornado 1000 case so it should be well ventilated. Heheheehe.

I thought putting the voltage at 1.8 and higher was BAD.
Don't you wanna keep it at 1.75 or lower?
I rather go slower and have the chip live longer.

i dont think 1.8 is bad. i used to have my 300a at 2.0. well as for the other guy's question, most probably, you will hit 950 mhz. everyone here has had good success rates. at 1.8, you're almost "guaranteed." oh yeah, a lot of us are running it with stock heatsink/fan.

I was able to get to 950 with the retail fan/heat sink, but I ended switching to the Golden Orb cause the retail heat sink seemed real loose and tended to slide down a bit on my slocket. I really like the design of the Golden orb, really secure and easy to put on compared to the regular clip on the retail heat sink...and most importantly, the orb looks so cool! I need one of those iMac clone cases so I can show it off ;-).

Ditto on the request for email with the US-enabled coupon #. The Canuk code doesn't seem to want to work for my Alabama US address.

;)

Thanks

email Lawton!

Same here. The techbargains coupon is only for Canadians. Is there a US version? Please email if possible!

Thanks...

dude-
the onvia code is over - it was short and sweet. The only promotion code now is for Canuks

i picked up another at Buy.c0m for 102$ no tax and no shipping . Still a bargain

ugh, it kept crashing in win2000 for me, 950 at 1.8v. i upped it to 1.85v and the mouse would still freeze up on me. i declocked it back down to 633 and it seems fine. anyone know what the problem may be?

haner,

Your chip seems not as overclockable as others. Only thing you might want to do is to get a better cooler. Also, if you are using slocket, switching to a better one such as MSI or Asus could increase the success rate.

Anyone know of a good app to find bottle necks in systems? I went from a celeron 300a OCed to 450 to the 633 at 950 and I have not seen much of a difference.
