Only one RAM working at a time !!

When I have both of my RAM sticks in my side panel fan doesn't work properly and BSODs appear frequently. But if I just put in one of them it works perfectly fine !!

Whats the problem ?

It would seem there are two possibilities, a bad stick of ram or a bad socket on the MB. You might try running Memtest to determine if one of the ram sticks is bad. In your manual it says you can use slots 1 and 3 or 2 and 4. Have you tried both?

Well I've tried putting each RAM stick in at a time and they both work but only separately. And the motherboard is maybe 2-3 weeks old.......

So I must just try putting it (like you said) in slot 1-3 or 2-4

Some RAM/MB combos need a little more voltage to the RAM to run properly.

Give it a little more voltage in the BIOS.

IDK about the side fan.

Okay here is the thing I put my RAM into slots 1-3 and it didn't work. Then I tried 2-4 and it didn't work. But now I tried 3-4 and it works !! I haven't tried 1-2 but what do you think this means ?

Check your mobo manual. Mine specifically states which slots will work together with which kinds of RAM. It relates to timing.

If 3/4 works - then live with it.

Okay it's fine but does this mean I won't be able to use my RAM in the dual channel slots ?

Do you think my RAM doesn't support dual channel or my motherboard ?
