Only 12% of Americans realize Obama cut their taxes

What do the state/local taxes have to do with Obama? I thought conservatives were for state rights?

States and local governments plan their budgets around the handouts from the Feds.

Then you have the unfunded mandates forced by the Feds that have to be accounted for.

CAN we stop it? Granted, we can stop the Democrats from their obscene spending by electing Republicans in 2010. And probably they will spend less (which in DC-speak means spend more but less more than previously.) But assuming the Pubbies win Congress in '10 and the White House in '12, why would we assume they wouldn't return to their 201-2006 spending habits?

The past and current crop Republicans have given no indication other than lip service to fiscal responsibility. They have been as bad as the flippin' Democrats just with a different agenda.
