Only 1 channel of audio with asus a7v8x-x help!

MY new asus mobo only plays sound thru the right speaker, i tried jiggling the plug, but to no avail, i installed the soundmax drivers, i forget which version, but they dont work, i then got the latest ones, again numbers are wasted on me!, but still nothing from the left speker, i have tried all the connections, but nothing. please help!

Did you hook up the front panel audio connectors? If so, are they hooked up correctly? That would cause your problem.
