OnLive sucks for America.
Our infrastructure is too slow.
I was in it from the beginning and there about to just start giving it away to get people to use it, and it's possible they are paying people to spam forums for them. 🙂

no, im not spamming im a gamer and i thought something like this would be useful for people who cant buy a nice rig to run a game. thats all. BTW sorry for grammer, i didnt know we had old geezers and english teachers here.

gamers care about lag and experience.
non gamer casuals would rather play angry birds.
everyone else can wait to get home before playing wow.
so the market is someone with a crazy broadband connection who can afford to do gaming the right way anyways... bah

They can give it free all they want, but if our connection is too slow, like my DSL, then it won't matter, OnLive won't even work.

I actually remember typing that and meaning to go back and didn't!
I was going to say something to the effect of "I was in it from the beginning and there was no incentive for me to use the service, so they're going to have to start giving it away to get users".
(Which is basically what they are doing.)
I stick by my assessment of OnLive, it just can't happen at a broad scale in the US for real gamers who want games to look good and can't deal with the lag.
Has it become better since the beta?
Yes, but still not good enough.
