Hi,
I am really sick and tired of newbies asking me how to create an audio cd because they will not read the directions. I saw a tutorial on zdnet, or cnet, or winmag.com once that was very good with directions on how to burn a cd with Adaptec Easy CD Creator. I don't know where that link went. I was wondering if anyone could suggest some links for me to give to my newbie friends for burning an audio CD from mp3s.

Thanks,
Brian

Before burning, you do make sure that the MP3s are decoded into WAV files, right? It's really simple to burn WAV files with EZCDC. Just open it up, click new>Audio CD and use the explorer interface to find the WAV files to burn, click and drag them to the CD track list, and make them in the order you want in the files to burn.

I know how to burn an audio cd of course...I would just like to give people a link to read when they want to learn. This is much easier than a 5 minutes explanation, also they can refer other friends to this online tutorial. I know I saw a very good one using Adaptec Easy CD somewhere....

MusicMatch makes it really easy for newbies. They have an in built feature that will convert to wav and burn to a CD. I am not sure about what burners are supported although I am yet to hear from anyone who says that their burner didn't work.

They make you create a playlist and then all you have to do is click on the button for CD-R and then the Create Now button.

Best of all - they let you do this in their shareware version!:) They do however limit the burn rate to 2X. But if you are willing to spend the $30 and upgrade to the full version, you can burn at 4X or higher speeds.

I definitely recommend this software for newbies who don't want to go through the hassles of converting mp3 to WAV first and then to CD. They even let you print CD-R jewel case inserts. Cheers! :D

Link for burning Mp3 to CD -- this is a link from musicmatch's website on how to use their software to burn cd's from mp3's. Hope this helps.
