Right now I'm reading "The Fixer" by Bernard Malamud for a class, and it is really long and boring. you have to read it at like 1 page for every 10 minutes just to grasp what is going on.

Are there any good sites out there on the web that give you good access to plot summaries, character info, themes, etc. Without having to pay money? Or does such a thing not exist anymore?

If you don't learn to read well now, you will suffer forevermore.

A dictionary and a pad for notes might help. Think of it as a reading comprehension exercise.

made it thru 2 years of college, and doing fine so far. :)

i can read just fine, its just that some books are a pain in the butt to read. this one being one of them.

when it takes you 30 minutes to read 10 pages, thats not good progress.
