You never followed hockey in Quebec city do you?

Man the team was winning 20 games a season, and the Colisee of Quebec was full every freakin night.Getting fan to the areana and make them pay wasent a problem,but a too high us dollar change just destroy this organisation


Aubut wasent making money,so rather than try to compete with a US dollar, he sold the team.

Now can this team with a 39 mi payroll can compete in todays NHL?Oh hell yeah.

I think its a good idea. Anything hockey did in the last 10 years or so should be re-examined. Its funny though seeing all these Canadians in one thread. Half of the country is in here

I think the bigger problem is Quebec's obsession with the French language.

NHL players can't play there...they don't understand what's being said.

Don't they arrest people for speaking English?

Plus "merde!" just doesn't have the same ring as it's english equivalent.

Wouldn't that include Carolina and Florida as well as Tampa? How did Canada do in the same time? Calgary, Edmonton, and Montreal only? Buh bye Vancouver, Toronto and Ottawa.

Lets just keep adding teams... great idea. The talent pool is too diluted now as it is.

It didn't work the first time, and it shouldn't get another chance. Same goes for Hartford, Winnipeg, etc. Atlanta never should have gotten another team either.

We need to get rid of a few teams, not add more in previously failed markets.

The market in Winnipeg and QC only failed because our dollar was worth 63cUS. The same revenue/cost equation that failed before will be 30% more profitable now.

Wait for some of the US teams to fail, and bring them back up here.
