Online Network/IT classes?

I currently work in the transportation industry, but would like to get into IT, specifically networks. Since I work full-time and have a newborn son, I'm pretty much limited to taking online classes. What courses or schools would you recommed for getting a certification or degree?

Mods - if this is off-topic here, please move to appropriate forum. Thanks.

Most people will say that IT sucks right now which it does. I would personally work on getting certs.

I agreee tha tIT sucks right now...but i disagree on the Certs direction.
Go get a degree...it will go allot further than a cert.

Degree first, certs are the icing on the cake. Work in the industry throughout because its all worthless without experience. I don't think online classes will be all that helpful personally. You'll either need to attend a college to get a degree, but even for general training you're going to want hand on experience that you just can't get with network at home. Reading books and things on your own should be just as productive and cheaper if you're limited to at home study. Experience is very helpful when job hunting.
