Hey guys, need some help. Looking for an online store I can buy an album in mp3 format that I can put on a USB stick and play in my car.

Amazon won't work because I am in Canada.

Please help a lost soul.

If you have an account there, can you search an artist for me? Won't allow me to search before i sign up

I haven't been a member in years. They used to be cheaper, with more niche music. They wanted to get the big guys, and their prices went up to accommodate them. They also made repeat downloads a PITA, so I dropped them.

In any case, what artist? maybe they're on one of the small players like bandcamp.

Does Amazon offer the AutoRip feature there? When you buy many CDs in the US you also get an MP3 download.

Emusic only has Real Lover(found via DuckDuckGo). Otherwise, Amazon, and iTunes showed up in a search. There may be other "stores" selling it, but I'm against commercial copyright infringement, and wouldn't support them.

You could PayPal someone to buy the mp3s and a USB stick then mail them to you as a gift.

Someone less lazy than me :) -- customs forms, gah.

If iTunes carries them in Canada you could burn a regular CD then rip it back to MP3.

No need to burn. Lots of Utilities can convert to MP3. iTunes alone can even do it.

There's no DRM for music purchases from the iTunes Music Store or Amazon Music anymore.

I've switched to Google Play after Amazon decided you needed one-click purchasing enabled. I don't know if Google Play works in Canada for MP3s.

MP3s on a USB stick are the best way to go in a car.

Have you checked iTunes?

The two albums are available on Amazon, for ~$9.50 each. I could buy them for you if you want.

I'm in Calgary right now...looks like Google Play will let me buy it.

I'm not sure if they're DRM-free, though. :(

FWIW you can easily do this as a Canadian on Google Play Music too.
