Online Literature for Windows Application Programming?

I'm just starting programming applications for win32 and was wondering if anyone here knows of any good places to start. I'm looking for any documents that have good information on windows forms, APIs (besides MSDN), and maybe a couple of sample codes.

i found some great books at my local library. C# step by step (by microsoft) is a good place to start if you have programming experience. check half price books too they have good stuff. but sorry I dont' have any links for info online!! sorry
