Is online college credible? Im 20, have 2 years of college under my belt... was curious if anyone has a degree from online college?

There isn't a community college you could go to in your area? It's probably cheaper and more credible.

Community college won't do him any good, he already has 2 years of college.

And some Community Colleges have 4 year programs.

doensn't an "online university" or "univ. of phoenix" thread pop up every few weeks?

do a search here and check out some info.

I've said it before, if two job applicants were equal except one went to a real college and the other did an online college like University of Phoenix then the latter would still be looking for a job. I doubt I would even consider hiring someone from an online college if they seemed the most qualified. I hold school and education in a very high regard and these online univierities just don't provide all that real schools do.

nothing can beat a real classroom and interaction with a professor and students face to face. Virtual classrooms can't do that.

It's expensive, hit-or-miss quality (actually, like a lot of "real" schools) -- most importantly, it still does not have the reputation. There are a few online programs that are from more reputable institutions, so if you really can't do an in-person thing look around.

If by some you mean 1 in 1000, then you could be right.

some state universities have "distance learning" programs you can get on if distance is a factor. Dont get cheap with your education though, its one of the best investments you can make *if* you invest wisely

And if he just so happens to have one in his area, what's the big deal?

The community college less than 20 minutes from here offers a BA/BS and is one of the top 5 CC in the nation.

Umm, you guys know that U of Phoenix has actual classes, face to face, at campuses all over the country, don't you? You also know that they are fully accredited as well, right? This isn't some school in the Bahamas or something.....

then why do they need to send so much spam to people to advertise their services? they suck.

What program?

I'd say certain fields its more important to have a degree from a reputable university than others.
