Hello.

I need to go back to school. Icky. Oh well.

I want to take courses online. Has anyone had any experiences? Thoughts? Concerns? Anything at all would be useful.

I am looking at the programs here: AIU Online

Thanks for any information you can provide me!

I am currently enrolled in the CS Bachelor's program at ACCIS. It has several accreditations and while the curricullum may not be as intense as a traditional college, the courses are challenging and I benefit from the self-study nature since I work full-time and have a family.

The cost was relatively cheap when I enrolled 2 years ago about $4500 for 18 classes, and it included all the texts and MS VC++ 6.0.

I've taken a couple online classes, and i prefer them. You really have to push yourself and keep up with the work, but that is how i prefer to take classes. Intensive classes have a lot of course work in a shorter amount of time, but if you apply yourself the classes will fly by and will almost seem easy.

Is that an up front cost, or something you pay by the quarter?

Side question: do these universities care where you are physically located and whether you are a resident of the US or not? Do they charge in-state vs. out-of-state tuitions?
