I didn't think you got the results of the market research back already. What were the results?
I hope this is more successful than selling domain names.

No nothing yet. So far its just from my research asking around. I got some numbers but nothing official yet

If you really want this to get going create a website not just about coaching but about getting better at games. Get some great players at some popular games to help create the content. Give some of the main info for doing well and basics of things you need to know and what top players do. Videos of what and how to do things. The language used things to look for,... Forums for each of the games. This should get a good number of people who would want something like coaching to your website.

Getting good content from great players at the start would really help getting traffic.

A site containing true guides to being a better gamer would be awesome. Right now that information is spread over countless forums and youtube videos explaining all the intricate details. Guides on the sort of hardware that works best (mice and monitors) combined with setting up the games (removing smoothing, turning off netcode prediction in games like BF4) etc etc could really go a long way as a primary outlet for games.

Cutting through the rubbish and genuinely listing out the true pro adjustments to settings and what hardware they use would make for a pretty popular site. Doing interviews of pro players and getting their preferred setup and why is probably a more scalable business model that selling pro player time. After all these are what those gamers need to do first before they even remotely get a pro to tell them how to play better.

Yeah I have actually thought about creating a site like this myself. I just have another project I am working on finishing up right now.

One thing I don't really understand about this business model is, why would these pros use a different site to advertise their coaching when they could just use their own Youtube/Twitch channels to do it themselves?

Haha that was funny and thanks!

Funny because we had a little conference call regarding the various segments of the site. I suggested it had a whole part for learning and how to get better , videos and such ... like a free section. To target those specific people.

The site isn't entirely based on coaching.. coaching is not even the main section. Its a very small piece of a huge puzzle. It'll be like an "all-in-one" gaming site

Thanks for the info !

Thats very true VenBaja

Nothing stopping them from doing that and most of them who i already spoke to are doing this. Believe it or not, a lot of them are still interested even though they have their own thing going on.

You need a big chunk of money to start this off strong. It will never start off slow and be successful. This may not make sense to you ... but the way we planned this out and the goals we have ... it makes perfect sense. Although this is a very small segment of the site and not a main source of revenue, we still estimate 30k for the first 6 months of advertisement for the coaching part. The rough estimate for the whole site and other segments was shocking when i first saw it:)..... but we have some hardcore investors who are going to make this happen.

Thanks for your question!
