ONES Burning Software - The best burning software period.

Not many people know of this software, but it is the most simple to use and is hands down better than Nero and Roxio bloatware. Can I just get some burning software and not some suite of apps I never use?

ONES is the answer.

You can download a 30-Day demo to see what I mean. Otherwise its a $24.14 download for the full version.

Features:

* Dynamic interface for both beginners and power users.

* Burn easily DVD Video, DVD ROM, Audio CD, CD Rom, CD Extra, Video CD and much more...

* User is shielded to make setting mistakes.
* Totally Driverless Application; no frequent download updates are needed.

* Create easily Audio compilations from MP3, WMA or WAV.

* Easy and understandable Overburning.

* Full support of CD-R 100 Min.

* True recording speed.

* DVD Native application open to all new DVD standards.

I've been told about this app a couple times but could never get the Demo to work.. Hope everyone has better luck because everyone needs a beter alternative to NERO and the others...

I'm very happy with the freeware CDBurnerXPPro that I found out about through the software forum here. Easy to use CD and DVD burner, lacking the bloatware and its fully free, not just a time limited trial version. Here's the link:

This program cannot recognize my NEC3550A as a cd burner, only the DVD burning functionality.

I've used ONES in the past. the program was unstable and crashed repeatedly. not at the top of my list.

never crashed on me, maybe an older version?

I am as cheap as anybody, but you might mention that this software is alpha/beta stage. Nero is still the devil I know.

I wish someone knew of software that wrote a large data set to multiple dvd's without needing to image the data first, ie similar to the way Picasa backs up photos.

Nero oem version won't write boot tracks correctly (the way I need them done anyway for BART PE CD), I had to use BlindWrite.

Does this support unicode? I realy need one that does, and only Windows offers unicode and there is some partial unicode in vso's CopyToDVD software, but they keep breaking it.

Can ONES support rock-ridge extentions?

**EDIT**
Actually that is kind of a silly question. Anybody who knows what Rock-Ridge is probably know of an OS that can burn it 😉

But being able to burn Rock-Ridge from XP would be nice for transferring files to work.

I still need Nero cause I do ALOT of h.264 MP4 encoding. And MP4 audio is second to none. Even to FLAC.

lolwtfbbq, it's magically better than lossless.
