Hello. I hope you can help me on this problem.

At home we have a network betwen 2 computers (soon adding a 3rd) and it once worked fine but now seems o be failing.

When I turn my computer on and the other one is already on then mine connects to the other one fine. I can look at its hdd's etc. However, the other computer just cannot look at my computer. When I say Map Network Drive and select my computer it always brings up a connect to.... box and an error saying "no error information available".

The drivers on both comps are the same (the cards are the same make and model and are configured the same way) but the other comp just wont connect to mine.

I hope someone can help with this

"the other computer just cannot look at my computer"

If this puter run Win98 the you need to install and enable MS Printer & File Sharing.

If it is NT, then you need to have Share Permision enable for the client/user/group.

Does both puters have the same protocol, and both in the same Workgroup/Domain?

If use TCP/IP...Is the Subnet Mask is the same?
