One universal Email program??

Hey all,
So I have for years used the email address and settings from my ISP, which is Bell Sympatico here in Canada. I recently moved in with my girlfriend and our service here is Rogers@home.

I have always used Outlook for my email. No amount of fiddling will allow me to use my email settings from my original ISP (Bell) with my new ISP (Rogers). I can read my emails but it wont send any emails. I am forced always to read in Outlook and if I want to send an email I always go to the web version of my Bell account. I like the web version as when I travel I can access it but this really sucks at home.

In other words my incoming POP3 server info is ok and works well with most of my email accounts. My outgoing... SMTP simply never works unless I am actually on that physical connection. I try to place the SMTP info of my new provider but it does not work.

My question is, is there any windows based application I could use that simply allows me to place the POP3 and SMTP info for all my accounts regardless of where I am? is this possible? Is there a service I could pay for this luxury? Or am I overlooking something like Hotmail? does that allow you to import Pop3 accounts? I would not mind even using a web based one if I could get all my different email accounts and be able to actually reply.

Did you call up your ISP and find out the outbound server info? I think thats all you need to send emails with Outlook or Thunderbird
 
I will try Thunderbird. My issue and I should have explained better... is that my new ISP (Rogers) requires authentication in their settings. Also it's my understanding that their outgoing server info (which I have) only works for THEIR email accounts, not from another ISP's. Not sure if I am explaining myself. I will do more research. Thanks!
 
I formally used eudora , and it remains a great client for single mail accounts.
But thunderbird is much easier to use with multiple accounts, so thats what I use now.
 
Outlook can do all that if you set it up right. Have to specify the default account to use but you can change it for each message.

I don't have any experience with anything else though.
