Pyro - I agree with you to a point, its true that tunnel shots are a no no, but you dont have to watch too many mainstream movies before you see a fur shot.

<< Why is it okay to show the 'breasts' of any species on pictures/tv etc., but is it 'forbidden' to show the breasts of female Humans on the same way?
>>

This is one of those injustices, I think we, as men, caused in the dark age, and todays men must suffer for. We should stand up and fight for the right for (some) women to go topless.

Well, it's legal to go topless in Ontario, but I have yet to see anyone implement such a thing, except for fat flabby men.
That and the weather is too damn cold most of the year anyway.

LMAO - I will humbly eat my words then, perhaps its my taste in movies that sucks and not the fact that there are male parts available for viewing !

In the past year I can list many movies/vidoes etc that I have seen which have a consistent theme, a naked female and not just their breasts.
Boys Don't Cry and The Tailor of Panama to name a few, but if I want to see a dick I have look beyond mainstream media and head off to a porn shop. It seems to me that the male organ is deemed too valuable and sacred to used as a marketing tool where as women and their boobs are used to as a commodity to sell most items and push up box office ratings.

I've noticed this double standard. I think a lot of men don't want to show it for fear of being compared to other men. Only a guy with a lot of self confidence (or they are hung really well) would probably appear in a movie showing the full monty.

BTW, in the movie, "The Full Monty" does anyone know if they really did show the full monty? I was watching an awards show for broadway and I guess they made a play based on that movie. Anyways, during the show they were doing a musical number from the play -- I could have sworn they actually show their units at the very end -- the camera pan all the way back so the TV audience wouldn't see anything but from the reaction of the crowd I think everyone got a full view.

Okay, some real-life situations:

-A woman with her children sits on a beach. Suddenly a woman close to where they sit takes of some clothing to tan topless. The mother immediately takes action to avoid that her children will see the other woman.

-Another woman walks with her child on the street. Then they come past a sex-shop. The woman keeps the attention of her child away from the sex-shop and the items that are clearly visible from outside.

-A 10-year old boy is allowed to stay up late and is left alone behind the TV for a few moments. When one of his parents take a look at him, this one sees that the boy is watching a porno-movie or related. The TV is switched off and the boy is punished in some kind of way.

You'd nearly think that 'sex' and related are classified and their existance is systematically denied.

Is it a good thing that we're doing things like this, or should things be done differently?

Ive often wondered why its ok to show topless females from other cultures and races, like women in a tribe in africa or a indian in the rain forest in south america. Ive seen numerous shows like national geographic when it was on ABC that showed thoes women topless.

But I have never seen a topless white woman on those shows, i wonder why?

I think we should abolish the need for any sort of clothing, power dressing is overrated anyway.
Seriously, I am beginning to think if clothes were no longer a requirement in so called civilized society we would all be a lot better off. If both sexes interacted without the barrier of clothes, after the initial snicker fest was over we would probably be a more productive and less sex obsessed society with fewer hangups.

StormRider - Not after the novelty wore off.
Let me ask you this, given that you have implied in several threads that you feel inadequate in a few areas of your physical being what would happen if you walked down the street and saw that there were many men who were similar in build ?
Would you then lose your self-consciousness and realize that you are a worthy human being requardless of the body that you have ? That although there maybe bigger men there are many who look just like you and many who maybe worse off..

What?!? How dare you! What are you trying to imply? :Q Haha, j/k. ;)

Actually, you make a good point. I remember having to take showers in junior high. I was petrified of it. But after awhile I got somewhat used to it (I never became completely comfortable with taking a public shower) and it felt exharilating to be free of the little secret I was keeping within. ;)

It probably would be good if everything were out in the open. In a women's case if she has small breast that knowledge is out in the open so that if a man pursues her she knows that he wouldn't reject her because of her small breast. But if a guy is kinda small, it is hidden and he has to live with the fear of later rejection when his secret is revealed. ;)

So, maybe we should have see-through pants for guys from now on. :p

StormRider - I am glad you didnt misunderstand my comments, you have many obvious qualities which make you an attractive human being. I just recalled a couple of threads where you mentioned how you feel about certain things :)

Imagine if kids grew up in a society where naked bodies were second nature, the media would lose a lot its power and people would be more confident, concentrating on who they are on the inside rather than being consumed by what they are on the outside. Unrealistic perhaps, but a nice thought.

Maybe not so unrealistic after all. It might (or might not) happen in a few decades. You never know :)

BTW well said :)
