i am planning to clean up my pc since i havent cleaned it from the past 2 yrs(the time i bought it 😉 ) , i wanted to know if it will be fine to blow off the dust using a hair dryer with the heating option turned off ?
i had read somewhere that hair dryers produce static electricity and are not safe for computers but here at anandtech i read that someone is using it to clean the mobo.so i m a bit confused . should i use a hair dryer or not??

bye for now

As long as you don't make a connection btw the static on the hairdryer and the mobo - If you just touch something metal every now and again you'll discharge the static that builds up.
