Seriously - I have no Idea.
There's an Israeli Website - www.Mekusharim.co.il
I logged in - all good, I use it and come back almost 10 times a day , kinda like a myspace.
a week ago I press the bookmark , the site loads in a sec - and all I get on the screen - on the top left is an h. H . that's it. reload - nothing changes. just the H. tried various places inside the site (the mailbox, the search engine) nothing , all I get is the H.
Checked the source script - all I see there is the H.
thought it was a site problem, under repair or something - but no, my friends are on the site.
thought it was something to do with the cache or temporary files I have (they were working on the site, I logged in after the cache was cleaned, and it recorded the H page...) ... cleaned it again, nothing.
took my brothers laptop ( mine is also a laptop - an acer, his in an dell ) , the site works...
I come back to my laptop and try again - the site works.
it stays on for ... maybe a day, maybe less, then It happens again.
site managers didn't get back to me yet with a solution.
thought maybe for some reason my IP is blocked from that site after 24 hours or something... tried repairing the connection ... clearing everything , but didn't work... also - I'm almost sure my connection is a fixed IP address, and though I don't know that much about IP and that stuff, I'm pretty sure the site gets the main IP address from my connection, and not every laptop gets one.
DUNNO !
if you have any idea, i'll try anything...

Thanks.

No problem accessing that site. Something must have zapped it on your machine - Did you visit Al Jazeera or some other site that might have damaged the link? You should be running DHCP.

I am 99% percent sure that this is a browser issue. Try using another browser (Firefox or Opera if you use Internet Explorer). Can you see the page in another browser?

This may sound silly but it worked for me when I had a similar issue.....Upgrade the firmware on your router if you have one.

Thanks for trying guys...
Tried firefox , nothing, not even getting the H. whatever page I'm in , and I try to go there, it loads in one sec and writes "done" , even though nothing had changed and I'm still in the page I was before.
I remember trying to upgrade the firmware on that router 6 months ago and some things went wrong... so I'd rather try another suggestion (like the DHCP one.. ) first.
Now, everytime I want to go to that page, I open my brothers laptop, and the minute it loads the page, i can go there. of course at some point , sometime hours , sometimes minutes , it always gives me the black H page again, even if I'm already in the system.

Actually... kinda feel silly, no.
see , I'm avoiding contact of any kind to the router... I returned from the US to Israel to find out tech support is So freakin' different. There - they'll do anything, anytime to help you. Here ? I wasted so much time, so much talking to get nowhere, and now I'm afraid of my own router, knowing tech support for my internet connection would cost me a life.
I'll try , thanks.

back again... have no idea what changed... had a month without any problems loading that site... and now , all of a sudden, didn't touch the router or modem , didn't change anything ! and again I can't access the site. on IE I get a single H letter in the top left corner of the screen in each page i try there, and on firefox i don't even get the H ...
I wrote to the site last time it happened, but I don't think they fixed anything...
everybody else can enter the site but me , tried wireless and wired , tried without the router... this is freaking me out.

alright, now I'm getting a "you are not authorized to view this page"...
so what would you say this is ?
definitions in the site itself that went wrong? maybe I did something and they kicked me out ? don't think so , not like this anyway...
problems in both my computers ?
problems in my router ?
problems in my broadband connection modem or supplier ?

I get an immediate 403 when going there, maybe they are banning some ip ranges and you got affected.
