I'm sitting here during a class and I realize now, that I hate my major.

I hate counting in binary, I trying to figure out why my code won't compile.

If my prof catches me writing this on class time, he'll probably yell at me but I don't give a fuk right now. . .

Sucks, but no sense in giving up now. Just try to find a job that does deal with that stuff - or like codewiz suggests, study something else in grad school.

Dude, just suck it up for another quarter so you can get a cushy gov't job. Then you won't regret it. Trust me. Just be sure you apply here when you're job hunting. DO IT NOW!!!.

BTW: which prof? I used to post when I in Cheng's class for 303, 164L, and 244L.

What matters most is that you have A degree. Many many people are in jobs which have little or nothing to do with their major, buy a college degree is like a high school degree was years ago--it gets you thru the door.

Yeah I'm in Cheng's class right now. He chewed me out last time I was putzing around some car boards.

I guess I'm especially irritable right now cause my HDL thing isn't working at all and I slept exactly zero hours last night.

Usually when I'm irrational/irritable it means I didn't sleep well. :p

Yeah I think I started to have doubts around my junior year. One advice. Don't go straight to grad school.

I am a IS major and had the same thought. I don't want to program or be a help desk person, but I only need one more sem. to get my IS degree. So I found out I only need 5 more classes and I can be a Business Mngt. major. So I am a Double major now. One in IS and the other in Business Mngt.

Famous story I like to tell. I was doing well in a class, so well in fact I figured out that I could actually stop doing all homework and skip the final and still get a B. I didn't attend the last 3 weeks of that class.

plenty of people have jobs not related to their college degrees, don't worry about it

get the sheep skin and move on
