One of those gaming moments

Had one of those gaming moments with GH Metallica the other night.

I was playing an online Face-Off. It randomly chose an opponent, I then won the coin toss and chose the song Orion.

Face Off works like this, they play a section, you play a section. Back and forth back in forth. Then it got to one part in the song where we both play the same part and it happened. It was like actually being on stage playing somewhere with someone else. It was magical. Haven't had one of those moments in a long time where you forget it is a game.

After the song, my opponent on the other side said "damn, that was crazy". Guess he felt it to. We then played a few more songs and went our separate ways.


The part of the song begins at 5:12 in the following video. The song however, is worth listening through the whole way.

I wish you could get the songs from this game to work in Rock Band 2, I really don't want to keep buying games, I'd rather just buy songs.

While I have your ear, are the songs Demon Cleaner by Kyuss and Blood and Thunder by Mastodon actual masters or are they covers? That game is worth buying for those two songs alone though I wish I could just get those tracks sep.

Both Rock Band and Guitar Hero only use masters now.





Orion is definitely one of my favorite Metallica songs. I prefer Rock Band by alot but GH did something right because the guitar in GH:M plays really well again. I'm really really enjoying it.

Confirmed? Early on there was speculation on the wiki page that they might be covers. I sure hope they aren't.

masters afaik. Just played B&T and it sounded like the original.
