One of those days

Well, let's see here. Plan was to go to a museum and get there at around 11 an. it was supposed o be a 70 minute drive. Went with in-laws (they have a summer place in the ADKs, where we spent our 7 days of vacation).

To start, plan was to leave in the 9-10 am range. fAther in law was doing stuff so we were delayed a bit. Left at noon. WTF!

-- 2 --
So we start our drive and hit a construction zone which delayed us about 5 minutes. Oh, but wait. these are windy roads i nteh middle of no where and we were behinf a large propane truck for abotu 30 minutes. He was averaging about 30 in a 55.

-- 3 --
Propane truck turns, now behind some old car with old driver. Doing about 45 in a 55 for 15 minuites or so.

Almost to museum. About another 10 minutes to go. Stop in to eat at a hotel. Walk out of hotel. WTF! A flat tire. Chevy sucks. I said it. THE JACK THAT IS IN MY CAR DOES NOT EXTEND FAR ENOUGH TO GET THE TIRE OFF THE DAMNED CAR! Luckily, I could put hte jack on a lower part of the frame. But wait. The jack won't fit because it's to big to fit between the frame and the ground in teh only other spot I could use. So, got the father in law's jack (who was in his own truck). Used his to lift the car a bit to get my jack under the frame. Finally change the damned tire. Should have been 5-10 minutes. Took about 30 because GM sucks. When tehy test these damn systems, why not assume a flat tire next time!

Get to museum, all sweaty. from jack. Fun ensues.

Yayyyyyy
