One of the observations made, after getting a hair cut

are you sure you're not a porn star?

Funny enough, that was a "compliment" that one of the people who recently (while still with the long hair) met me graced me with.

I was trying to get away from giving that kind of first impression. Hence the hair cut.

Maybe because of the lipstick and the "not quite there" facial hair. Just an observation.

I do not use lipstick. Not even chapstick.

And on workdays and week end nights I am clean shaven.

And I was just generally referring to stereotypes that people have.

Well, for about nine years i had my hair like this:

then, deciding I could finally afford theose pricy hair cuts, got this one:

Now, one of the things that I noticed so far: a) with long hair, some straight people thought that I might be gay (while not a single gay person ever thought I could be). b) With short hair, straight people don't think I could be gay anymore, but for the first time in many many years, I got hit on by gay dudes (at a club recently).

While a) is definitely more about stereotypes, and b) ... just puzzles me a bit.

Ive been hit on by gay people. And its weird too, because I dont think I look gay at all. Im a fat computer nerd.

but hey, even though Ill never go there, I take compliments wherever I can get em 😉

Well, while compliments are great and all that, I just found it interesting, how much of a part in judging another person, might something trivial, like the length of the hair, play.

Got the Roger Daltrey look going in the second picture😛

I have no idea who "Roger Daltrey" is, but I do appear to have a strange, forced expression (I was "posing", fresh after getting the heir cut, for my parents)

"either way you look like a bongsmoker", - I have been trying really hard to get away from this kind of image!..

"why you sit so far away from cute girl", - my fiance ... I guess the lifetime commitment scares me a bit still
