One of the most Ghetto Mods I've ever seen

You've got to see this. I would bet that NVidia has NOT approved this as an "OEM Approved Mod." 😀

It was over in C&C, but I laughed so hard I nearly feel out of my chair, so I thought I'd share it here.

Check out the advanced, aerospace technology used to secure the HS to the card.

LOL

That's what I kinda did with my GF3. The tiny fan was so loud it was spoiling my newly silenced PC so I grabbed a 90MM fan connected with 4 twist ties and silenced it.

sweet!

they should try rubbing the card on the carpet too. I'm sure the static charge will give it at least another 10-20 FPS in Doom3.

I find the fact that they put a heatsink ontop of another heatsink more alarming than the twine.....

I just stuck a silent 80mm fan infront of my fanless overclocked Geforce 4 Ti...works great suprisingly 🙂

Well cooling it that way is kinda stupid but not as stupid as putting the Card bare on Carpet. ESD OVERLOAD

I don't get it?

I was just showing the proper way to install a large HS unit on a video card. 🙂

My 9700 is passively cooled and overclocked, and my 9800 is actively cooled by a 5v 60mmx10mm fan.

🙂

my POS asus 4200 fan broke, so i took a huge 80MM case fan and attached it to it using rubber bands (later zip strips) it took up 4 PCI slots next to the AGP slot.
