It's actually called the Storm Launcher. The unit itself sells for $80 + $30 for the battery and charger, sold separately.

Ps. It always works on land. You can launch it into air from land or water.

after a little research, this is NOT the same thing as the storm launcher. this is more expensive.

will the storm launcher be as good as this though?

This is the original that the Storm Launcher is based on. This puppy will run you a few hundred $$. .. The Storm Launcher is a mass produced 'affordable' version.

The one in the video is a full 4 channel R/C hobby vehicle. The Storm Launcher is a 2 channel 'up it goes, down it comes' toy.

Until I get my hands on one (which I will ), the storm launcher hasn't impressed me as much as the hydrofoam plane.

FYI though, the StormLauncher is designed by the original Hydrofoam designer link. Just made for the average guy.. aka TOY!.

yeah, just watched the video of the storm launcher. not as impressed.

the one in the original video only costs $200 though. still fairly cheap for something that cool.
