now I wonder if my voltron collection cold grab a pretty penny? Although I'm always missing parts to these toys. I wonder how he as a kid was able to not to break or lose all those little parts?

i wonder what would happen if his room caught on fire? :Q or a big earthquake hit. with a collection that immence, i'm sure he protected it with his life. I know he's going to die once he sells it all. Is it really worth it? selling all your memories for 7+k? must be interested in a down payment...

i know if i had a large collection of that, I would NEVER sell it. I'm never selling my Jlove collection, thats for sure :D

Transformers was never my thing. I had like 5 Fed-Ex boxes of He-Man toys. And my mom sold them for $1 a box at a garage sale <wipes away tear>

They are not "just freakin TOYS"! They are memories. They are my lost childhood. They are the reminders of simpler days. They are also woth ahelluva lot of cash!

Transformers were NOT toys.

They were a way of life.

Transformers are not mere toys. Transformers are an important piece of Americana...

Go-bots were toys.

chiwawa: you're just too young (and Russ, you're too old ;))to realize how much of a part of some of our lives Transformers were when we were kids. It's all about nostalgia. :D

Somebody mentioned He-Man, and that got me thinking about one of the figures I've always wanted back after my mom sold it at a garage sale: He came in a box and was a bunch of pieces...heads, legs, torsos...kind of red and ant-looking. That was my favorite toy ever, because it combined all the good parts of my favorite toys: you had to assemble it like Legos, you could transform him from one thing to another like Transformers, he had a gun like GI Joe's, and last but not least, he was part of the Evil Horde or whatever the Masters of the Universe baddies were called. :)
