i know i am hijacking it, and i will shut up just for that reason, but the garbage has got to stop... there are only a few people on here that i will go off on, and the feelings are not baseless...

Beast, look at your nick a second time and then take a look at your sig. Now, who's the real jerk? :| You're certainly sounding like a bitter-gone-crazy person. You aren't the only one who reads Moonbeam's posts and you could skip it if you don't like it. Besides, maybe you should stop acting like this is your territory and you're out to defend mankind. I'm sure AlphexII can speak for himself if he has issues with Moonbeam's posts.

first of all, i never called anyone a jerk... when you post something on a PUBLIC message board, it is PUBLICLY available for all to do whatever the hell with it they please. all i am saying is that i have never once heard him say anything even remotely applicable to a post that he was replying to... i have not gone crazy, i am a REALIST.

and what does my nick or sig have anything to do with it?
 
i have experience w/ this....i talked to the dude to sort things out w/ him...to voice out my opinion.....he apologized to me and stuff and still protects my now ex ...well, now friend too (read "can u be friends w/ ur ex" thread...)..which is all good now..hehehe...if something else turns out...then i donno...this happened to me twice and twice it turned out well by just talking to the dude and all....if u let ur temper fly and cuss him out over the phone...what good does that do...ur 6000 miles away, it can get worse...better to sort it out......make everyone happy 🙂


edit: of course u can always fly over and kick his arse......

I can't speak to what you take from my posts Beast. I am a great proponent of the concept that we take from things what we are able to. 😀

If I were reading my post I think my conclusion would be that aphex is saying that he's caught in a quandary because he fears that if he doesn't respond he will be accepting injustice. I clearly demonstrated to him, from the Mulla quote that life has its own ways of working things out. He does not need to take on every evil in the world. He has trapped himself by the assumption, the presumption that silence equals acceptance when in reality it doesn't. That is what is meant by "Our ignorance lies in our definitions because our definitions are lies." It is, I think, rather catchy too. 😀 My post was, of course, exactly on theme and directed to the meat of the thread. Try to be alert enough that it may be you who is unable to see the relevance. Thanks. 😀

Here's a good story.

Waiting to get into a movie with some friends A drunk was harassing a group of Polish kids (assumption, but I live in Chicago so it's a good one) One of the kids said something to him in Polish and the others laughed. The drunk asked what he said and he said, "It's an old expression, it means 'being drunk is no excuse for ignorance'" I've always like that. 🙂

Hehe, dj, I found it myself. No good having aphex think I'm talking about his gf. He seems a bit oversensitive and given to who knows what interpretation. 😀
 
If he didn't say it he'd still be thinking it. I'm sure there are lots of other people who think nice thoughts about you and your girlfriend...what are you going to do about them?
 
Drunk = no real reason to call him out on it. Next time you happen to have the opportunity, tell him what an ass he was when he was drunk... he'll probably know what you're referring to because all the other friends are likely to remind him that he shouldn't have done that. Make sense?
