Ohhh.... where's the one with the freaks? Dana Carvey had a baboon heart on the outside of his chest... Adam Sandler had an outtie belly button about 4" long... They were all worried about taking their shirts off at the beach...

I refuse to watch it and further proclaim SNL is not nor has it ever been funny. I admit as a child I occasionally watched it but quickly outgrew the sophmoric "look at me I'm on TV" schtick. I mean, it may be funny for dumb people with no real sense of humor beyond pee pee jokes and the lowest grade satire but it is in no way witty or clever.

SNL has fallen on hard times, but to say it's never been funny leads me to believe you don't have any idea what IS funny.

I hadn't seen that one. I laughed a lot...was thinking it was going to be completely retarded. Don't know why I laughed so hard.

Monty Python and Mr. Show are examples of good sketch comedy. Even Kids in the Hall was better but does not hold up over time.

Not only has SNL never been funny but the stream of movies it has spawned can only be described as diarrhea. Indeed, the only cast member to have made consistently good movies for any period is Bill Murray (later in career) and those of course having no connection to the show.

That's insane to believe that SNL was never funny. Old school SNL was some of the funniest programming around in the late 70's. Perhaps you forgot John Belushi and the other comedians who were around back then in the days before they ran out of original ideas.

As far as movies launched back then: Blues Brothers
