ONE NOOB QUESTION

I know this may sound stupid, but I have never used AMD before, just Intel. I am switching over and just purchased a a64 3200 and MSI Neo2 Platinum (well, working on it). Are there things in my system that won't work now because of the switch. Will I need to change anything.....Corsair Ram, ATI Radeon 9800 pro?

Thanks

AMD's don't need as much memory bandwidth as the hungry P4's. It all depends on the motherboard though. Most (maybe all?) cap off at PC3200 tops.

ok cool, last question, I am looking to get the msi neo2 platinum.

I was checking out there site and saw this one with an ati chipset. Any better, worse.

and I was looking over the msi neo2 plat specs and it says

CPU
? Supports Socket 939 for AMD® Athlon? 64FX/64 processor
? Supports 3500+, 3800+ Athlon 64FX 53, or higher CPU

Will it not support my 3200+

No PC3200 is the last official spec all the faster ram does is its guarenteed to run at a higher speed. So all boards will run the faster ram. And Dcypher that board will support your 3200 dont worry.

It will support your 3200+, however, since it uses the Radeon Xpress 200 chipset, and thus a PCIe slot for graphics, you'd have to get a new graphics card.
