This monitor is great! Not one dead pixel, bright, attractive case, great color, but this rebate thing is worrying me. I'll have to keep a close eye on mine.

I was debating on getting this but at the last minute I decided to go to Costco and get the Princeton 17" LCD for $360. The rebate killed if for me. I paid a little more and it's not as good as the Hyundia but you can't beat Costco's return policy.

I purchased this on the last set of rebates (about one month ago) and I can't speak highly enough about it. The color is great, refresh rate is fast enough for gaming, and I think it looks pretty slick. Built-in speaker are pretty weak, but no more so than any others I have heard). I have one bad pixel but it wasn't worth standing in line at Frys to fix since it isn't really obvious. All in all, a satisfying purchase.

one thing that I love about this (maybe all LCDs have it, I've never had one before :p) but if you're playing a game, and it just randomly starts shifting over on the monitor for some weird reason everytime you open it, you can do an "Auto Adjust" in the monitor's menu, and it will automatically fullsize the game :D
I was very impressed with that after having to resize my CRT by hand each time when a game did that.

Yep, it is a nice feature. I've noticed that for all the LCDs at this price (mostly ones AR), this is the only one with a dedicated button for auto-adjust. The other brands usually require some menu clicks to access it. Very handy.

hahahah, now that you say that, I wondered about it, because I've been going through the menu access, but knowing that it's right there same as the select button, that'll be even easier :D
thanks!

Couldnt have said it better. I am also waiting on my 2 $50 rebates from the beginning of summer. Perhaps Fry's is just doing what the Universities have taken to doing with their "debit" and "credit" cards: investing all of our collective money until it doubles and then giving it back to us when its worth less??!

I still have not received my Hyundai rebate from April (Q17S)! I called two months ago and they said they were backlogged and that I should receive mine in Sept... but its now Oct. At least they admitted to receiving it.

Good to know.

Just got mine yesterday...had one dead pixel in the upper right. Can't determine if it's gonna bother me. If you have one dead pixel...does it mean you'll get more to come with use? And can I even return it based on only one dead pixel? Thanks.

A lot of places won't take back an LCD unless it has at least 7 (!) dead pixels. I've found that by "massaging" the pixel with your finger after the monitor is warmed up will sometimes bring it back to life. I'm about 50-50 with doing this (worked on 10 out of 20 LCD's I tried it on).

Cool....I called them yesterday and they made it easy. They sent me another one, arriving today, so I could still get the rebate sent in time. But I have to pay for the return shipping (IMASUCKER). They're gonna double charge my credit card until they receive the dead pixel one back. I'll try the massaging technique tonight before I roll out to the TX/OU parties. Might as well experiment with something I'm sending back anyway. Thanks for the help!
