Not putting more time into my work as an undergrad and instead spending my time and my money pursuing the woman I thought I would spend the rest of my life with. Three short years later, and we aren't talking anymore. However, it was what seemed like the right choice at the time, I just wish I would have seen things more clearly, or at least balanced myself more.

Pissing away my 20's.

Graduated from High School June of 1992 at the age of 17 (almost 18). I thought I'd be a teenager for the rest of my life and that my 20's were far away.

Not smacking George Bush when I had the chance.

He came to my high school 🙂

And then one day you come to find,
Ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run,
You missed the starting gun.

And you run and you run
to catch up with the sun
but it's sinking, and racing around
to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a realitive way
but your older, shorter of breath
and one day closer to death.

😉🙂

You know how parents say "at least my kid's not out on the street doing drugs"? I'd bet their parents are thinking differently! :Q

Major Regret: Saying "no" when I should've said "yes." Let's just leave it at that.

i don't have any significant regrets...but this one still bites my ass

I made about $4000 working over the summer and i spent $2500 on a new computer which i hardly used afterwards! I'm using it now but it's getting outdated. I really REALLY should've spent that money on a car. 🙁 My life would have been SO different i really can't imagine it now.

Just shut up and face the fact that you're wrong on this one.
And there you have it folks! An extremely well thought-out arguement! I love debates, and can see your point, but telling someone to shut up because their OPINION is wrong kinda invalidates yer arguement because you loose credibility.

Well, since you kind of sort of didn't propose an opinion but rather a statement that was quite difinitive, I didn't really take it as opinion. What seems to be right for you (your post) doesn't work for me at all (my post). Does that make more sense to you?

There are more things that I regret doing than things I regret not doing. It doesn't match what your view. Simple as that.

There's one and only one during the life I spent:
9 yrs ago, I should have wrote my grandpa a letter of convince him to quit drinking. However, I was afraid of my crazy hand-writing. My grandpa showed some letters of mine to his friends..........My fault from least to most...Alcohol struck him to dead 8 yrs ago......

I regret dating a girl so long that I dated seriously for 5 years. I should have broken up with her 2 years into the relationship when I figured it probably wouldn't work out. It was just so hard to let go. I'm a stronger person now, but I feel I wasted those three years with her when I would have been happier with other people. Finally breaking it off with her was one of the best things I did. I just wish it was sooner. Ah well.

I most regret not taking care of myself as a child, and also, the way i went about my relationships.

what do you mean by "taking care of yourself"?

honestly, i didn't really start caring about what i ate or how i looked until i was 17. i really regret that now because it would be a lot easier to be happy and fit now if i cared before.

no regrets... people make mistakes... its part of living...

I look at all the things I would regret and then realize the lesson i learned from my mistake... I'm a better person due to my mistakes.

The biggest thing in my life I regret is what happened last weekend with me. A bunch of us decided to get a few bottles of everclear and drink them all in 1 night. The last thing I remember is watching some of Gladiator. Next thing I know I'm waking up with a naked woman next to me. We definitely didn't use any kind of protection and I'm sweating more than I've ever done before because I don't know if she's pregnant or not.

Not telling the girl I had a crush on through highschool how I felt before she was killed by a drunk driver...

Oooh...i almost forgot about that. The girl that i had a crush on after my senior year in summer school (needed one government credit for graduation) killed herself about a month after i got out of summer school. It never really bothered me that i didn't tell her, but...it just brings back memories.

That's it? That's your biggest regret?

How about something substantial, like snuffing out lives?

my biggest regret in life is not working up to my potential. i still do it to this day, it's so hard for me to find some kind of inspiration. 🙁
