One less Liberal on the Air - Dan Rather's Final Day 3-9-2005

dmcowen674

No Lifer
One less Liberal for Republicans to blame for biased and incorrect reporting.

Yes, Odd Dan was all about flair and ratings yet he was dead last in ratings.

He did appear to travel more than any other Anchor.

Will he be missed?

Was he reporting based on the direction of his Management?

Or was he voicing his own opinion?

Unlike the Fox folks of today, they are clearly strictly Puppets for their Management as well as clearly under the direction of the Republican Party itself.

I don't believe Dan was under direct control of the Democratic Party although most Republicans say he was because he was or is so close to Bill Clinton.

Only the history books will tell us for sure.

3-9-2005Tributes and Sniping on Dan Rather's Final Day

It's lame that neocons think they have had some victory against liberals with Rather going. Most liberals don't give a rat's ass about Rather.

yeah this is true

Farewell to a real professional. It took the world's greatest propaganda machine to paint him as a liberal.

he attended democratic fundraisers and gave money to the dem party all the time. atteneding all kinds of lib functions on his own dime. only went to conservtive functions when working.

he wasnt just anchorman but chief editor.

but honestly i found him to be rather proffesional. didn't come off as liberla to me. justa little biased, but nothing worth him loosing his job over.

he was boring though.

bye danny boy, sniff!

As for getting rid of a liberal comon there are so many in mainstream media its sickning only recently has the other agenda come out on some fronts such as fox news, limbaugh, etc...

Don't watch it like its the gospel truth, realize all media is not going to be 100% objective there will always be some slant.

yeah...farewell to yet another journalist who wasn't afraid to stand up to either of the bush's regimes. yet another win for foxnews-type journalists and their friendly politicians.

Only the history books will tell us for sure.

In 10-15 years nobody will remember the hack. And he certainly wont make it into any history books.

btw dont let the door hit you on the arse when you leave Danny.

That would explain your lack of appreciation for the avdersary relationship between the government and the 4th/5th estate. The one the neocons spin into the media being a monolith of liberalism.

Why would I appreciate fabricated stories?

I'll be sad to see him go. But yeah he was boring. Was that why they brought in Connie Chung? man what a mess that was.

We still remember Walter Cronkite.

And he certainly wont make it into any history books.

He already has. Get used to hearing the Nixon quip a lot today and tomorrow.

btw dont let the door hit you on the arse when you leave Danny.

It won't, he'll still be doing correspondent work for 60 Minutes Wednesday.

You forgetting when Amanpour stood up to Clinton and was not heard from again until he left office? It was during Kosovo and she shook her finger at him for something on internal TV.
