semisonic - closing time

semisonic had another song off of that album played on radio, and they also had a single on the album after "feeling strangely fine" called Chemistry. Not eligible 😛

really.. oops 🙂
Yeah, I think they had songs called "Secret Smile" and "Singing in my Sleep" that got some radio airplay. Although "Closing Time" was really their only "hit", I'd say.

Feeling Strangely Fine is a great album 🙂

KP and Envy, can't remember the name of the song though.....

You could call The Heights and The Wonders one hit wonders, but they were based on a TV show or movie.

EDIT:LOL found it on my playlist K.P. and Envyi - Swing my Way

What does Mambo #5 sound like? What is the chorus of the song?

"A little bit a monica in my life, A little bit of Ericka by my side, A little bit of Rita is all I need, .... something something You and ME"

The Weird Al version is hilarious 😀

Ricky martin. I know hes trying to comeback, but his time is up! Only had like 1 hit anyway.

He had La Vida Loca, Shake Your Bon Bon (or whatever that song was called), as well as numerous hits in latin America.

Let's take this back a little further in time.

Green-eyed lady - Sugarloaf
Spirit in the sky - Norman Greenbaum
In the year 2525 - Zager & Evans

yo Vanilla kick it one more time boooooooooooooy

Alright Stop collaborate and listen, Ice is back with a new invention

...
To the extreme, I light up a stage and watch a chump like a candle

Hmmm....one hit wonders.......<turns on the radio, as that describes every new artist from 2000 on>...........

Some older female one-hit wonders:

Frida - I Know There's Something Going On
Tracy Ullman - They Don't Know
Sylvia - Nobody

I tend to remember the one-hit wonders who had huge hits, like Chumbawumba, Vanilla Ice, T'Pau etc. and then NOTHING. You know, the ones where their album with the big hit that sold millions of copies is now in the $2 bin at Walmart.

Toni Basil - Mickey
Alannah Myles - Black Velvet
Soft Cell - Tainted Love
Right Said Fred - I'm Too Sexy
Lipps, Inc. - Funkytown
Deee-lite - Groove is in the Heart
Bobby McFerrin - Don't Worry, Be Happy
